Richard P. Startek
Richard obtained a major in Economics at the University of Waterloo, and his law degree from the University of Western Ontario. Richard Articled for the former Mr. Justice C. Speyer and Mr. Justice C. Osborne in 1971, and was called to the bar in 1973.
Richard was the founding partner of the firm in 1981. Civil & Commercial Litigation, Personal Injury, Real Estate, Mortgages, Family Law, and Wills & Estates are the principal areas of Richard's practice to which he has extensive experience providing legal services and advice. With over 40 years of trial and advocacy experience, Richard has handled many complex cases and has appeared in all levels of court in Ontario. Richard is an active member of the Hamilton Law Association and the Hamilton Lawyers Club.
Richard G. Startek
After graduating law school, Richard joined Startek Law (formerly Startek Peglar & Calcagni) in in 2004 and has enjoyed practicing with his father, Richard P. Startek ever since. Richard practices in the area of real estate, estates, including wills and powers of attorney, corporate law, civil litigation and family law. Richard maintains a busy practice with many of his clientele being referral based.
Richard provides his quality legal services in a timely and cost-effective manner with the focus always being on the best possible outcome for his clients. Richard maintains current with ever changing legislation, precedent law and procedure through continuing education courses and self-study. Richard is licenced to practice in Ontario and is able to appear at all levels of court, including the Ontario Court of Appeal, Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Ontario Court of Justice and various administrative tribunals.
Richard is the proud father of two boys and enjoys spending quality time with his family. Richard is an active member of his community and part owner of the Grimsby Peach Kings Junior C hockey club.
